Ochre and gold blooms painted across a near-black ground, closer to a darkened still life than a floral. Silk satin cut as a slip: fine straps, a V at the front, seaming through the bodice that shapes it before the skirt falls straight to mid-calf. The low shine keeps the print from reading as costume. An evening dress that does not announce itself.
